In defiance of the world church, the Southeastern California Conference on Dec. 19, 2015 “ordained” a woman
On July 8, 2015, the Seventh-day Adventist Church held its General Conference session in San Antonio, Texas, USA. Thousands of delegates from the world church gathered for Spirit-led collective decision-making. The Church voted at that time NOT to change its unified global practice of only permitting the ordination of spiritually qualified men to the gospel ministry–a decision binding upon the whole church. Nevertheless, on December 19, 2015, in the North American Division (NAD), with the approval of the Pacific Union Conference (PUC), the Southeastern California Conference (SECC) held a service “ordaining” a woman to the gospel ministry. NAD, PUC, and SECC are all subunits of the world church and have only a limited, delegated authority to act. This short video includes excerpts from the Dec. 19 Insub-Ordination service of the SECC.

Absolute rebellion! When is this going to be addressed? Sandra Roberts should never have been allowed to retain her position. It has only opened the door for further rebellious acts. All who do so should have such credentials removed from them. If they are so bent on doing as they wish, let them remove themselves from the Seventh-day Adventist church and start their own. We are a Bible believing church and as such cannot go against Biblical principles. If we do, we are no better than any other apostate religion that disregards Scripture.

I agree with Bill .If we let this go we might as well let everything come in and those of us that follow scripture will just turn off the lights as we go out the door, why? because then political correctness we be their god not ours!
What’s going on in our church? Some will call this ‘rebellion’, I’ll call this confusion! Isn’t our church structure working well anymore? I see it all over the place that some entities find rationales to do whatever seems right in their own eyes (Judges 21:25)! But why is there such a bursting of a dam? These are question that press from my heart. My greatest concern is the inertia of the church. Some see the ‘abominations’ some don’t. But what about the huge mass in the middle? How is it possible that some are able to lead into any direction they wish? That is the background for my question about our church structure. It seems to me that legal decisions are immaterial. Okay, we cannot focus on decisions, but if the statement from Ellen G. White is correct and the GC plenary assembly AND the Holy Spirit cooperate in making decisions, why do we have a situation like this? Who will do wherefore we are called to according to Ezekiel 22:30? May the meaning of the name of Ezekiel come true for our church: ‘God is strong’!
What I find disturbing is woman who allow themselves to be Ordained knowing God’s will for our church and the direction He has made clear through his people. If they are willing to ignore the voice of the church, how much more are they willing to compromise?

If there was any credence in their position , they would have removed themselves from the denomination. !!!!
If a police officer just stands and watches someone commit a crime and takes no action, is he also guilty of a crime? Put you’re thinking caps on and realize what is taking place in the organized church and what the Bible has clearly shown us and tells us will happen for the sin of rebellion and inaction
If this matter is not urgently addressed, what you have is an endorsement by inaction. My hope is that those who assume the mantle of leadership will realize that it is the greatest accountability to a good but terrible God. The Lord has not changed in His holiness and dislike for confusion. This spirit of Aaron and the golden calf is what we fear. What has happened is we have people who have no idea of the kind of person with whom they have to do and who have created a humanistic liberal apparition as the God of the Bible in their own minds. Idolatry does not have to be material, it can be ideological. In point of fact in our day, it is. We have more to fear ideologically than we have to fear materially. I have no issue with Sandra Roberts and Shirley Ponder doing as they are trained by whoever put them up to this crusade. Such mischief is not original nor is it a solo act. Somebody ideologically indoctrinated these ladies and sustains their motivation to cause this confusion in the church. Feminism is a spiritual collective with external and extensive anchorage. I have no issue with the leadership of the SECC, the PUC nor the NAD for that matter having the courage to take a position and ACT on it. I do not share their spirit or vision but I respect their coming out openly defiant as they have. Where are the convictions and the courage of the leadership of the world church when they are needed the most? Where is the voice of the world church? Please DO NOT leave the church because of things like this. Stay and smite with the word of your testimony and then wait on the Lord. He is not called the LIVING God for nothing. We can afford to be still but not silent.
In practice there is a Pharisaical structure of unwritten rules rules that trump the working policies, bylaws, and constitution of governing church structures. It also replaces the Church Manual. And of course The Bible! Not just in ignoring biblical male/female roles, but in ignoring authority.
This is flat out “Apostasy” … And the most perplexing thing about all of this is that the World Church, appears to be afraid to address it! Why?
Where are the “MEN” that have been called? This is the Evidence, and the reality, of what is written that’s happening in the Seventh-Day Adventist church, They have decided to go their own way!
This is so embarrassing, and it hurts, to see a “Valid and Solid Vote be taken, and totally ignored, because of these few traders of the work trying to change the “Government” of “GOD” with their own Ideologies, and Worldly Cultrial Ideas, even going against what the Word of “GOD” Spicifically told them and this church, not to do… And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2
And the most perplexing thing about all of this is that the World Church, appears to be afraid to address it! Why?
I think I understand why.
Because no one have the authority to take disciplinary action by himself.
We need to have a collegiate solution of pastors from the higher administrative level, which has to be the GC committee.
But the problem is that all administrators see their primary and ultimate goal in removing any obstacle that might hurt smooth run of the business. And this is universal rule.
Speaking of the GC executives we see that there is no unity between them on this issue. Voice of the President doesn’t have enough weight for resolving this problem (even if he is really willing to resolve it).
The only way that could force them all to move in one direction is a treat that would overcome the possible loss from breaking the status quo.
For example, if the they would have to choose between continuing this so called “women ordination” and treat of loosing a half of the peaple in the Church. That would make them to move.
But now they have some other serious issues which they have to maintain. I’m talking about requirement of the federal rules to avoid any discrimination which based on the sex at work. For them this issue should be addressed first because organization may loose huge amount of money as the punishment from government.
You see, at some point in its history the GC committee created corporation along with the government of the US and since that moment this is strictly federal organization that must obey federal rules.
Did you ever wonder what the US State Banner doing in every single adventists community? That is the sign of affiliation with the US government.
And official name of the Church is “General Conference Corporation of Seventh-day Adventists.”

This is a sad story.
I mean, this is not that hard to understand what is going on, but much harder to decide what should be done now.
At least, on this site I haven’t heard any proposition from the CAP members except “just wait a bit more, everything is going to be fine”.
And I’m sure eventually it will be..
We have to loose something in any case. That’s what makes us so uncertain and seize us from decisive steps.

We have for 150 years followed The Word not the World. Thank God for the vote in San Antonio! Satan is using the issue of Women’s Ordination to soften us up so we will give up keeping the Sabbath. First, we ignore the Bible and ordain women, then we ignore the Bible and allow gays to be members, to be married in our churches and then we ordain gay pastors. After that it will be a small step to ignore the Bible and bow down to the pressure of an apostate Christianity and give up the Seventh-Day Sabbath.

Remember Brothers and sisters a storm is coming. The remnant will survive the storm and Our God will clean out the poison and they will be found wanting. Praise Jesus praise Him I say for our redemption is near. We all know that all this unfortunate stuff has to happen even in Gods remnant so He has a Pure and Holy people ready and fit for Heaven.
I wait for the church leadership action on this. This is not acceptable. This has to stop.

I love that quote because it is clear that obedience is to love mercy, to be just, and have humility. And all the hard work in the world will not come close to what can be done by simply being obedient.
Hollywood SDA church ordains a transexual, male to female, for the position of elder. She/He teaches Sabbath School lesson and holds other meetings for church members. Now the SECC completely disregards the world church bylaws and biblical guidelines. What next?…gay marriage accepted and performed. Just wait. It’s coming…so are God’s judgments!
