I read Ty Gibson’s article and was utterly dismayed by his misinterpretation of the Bible and EGW writings, but as a woman I couldn’t reconcile with the answer given in your Q&A if GC voted for WO.
“The Lord foresaw that Israel would desire a king, but he did not consent to a change in the principles upon which the state was founded….God was to be recognised as the head of the nation, and his law was to be enforced as the supreme law of the land.” (PP 603.2).
Because God’s law’s eternal, He set up the temple sacrificial system and it’s purposes for our salvation as a type of what’s in heaven. Both system and law were intertwined. No women priest/s officiated in heaven/earth, such is only found in pagan religions instigated by Satan to remove the image, principles and salvation of God.
The Bible and SOP are wholly inspired, we shouldn’t accept anything that’s contrary to them, we should FIGHT for God’s Truth, not live in confusion. “Saul failed to do the will of God; and as he rejected the word of the Lord, the Lord rejected him from being king and sent Samuel to anoint David king of Israel; and David’s throne God established forevermore.” (PP appendix, note 8). From Eden, God’s always shown that He’ll support those who seek, find and uphold His principles. That’s why SDA church was born using individuals from various Protestant churches. The Bible calls SDA the 7th/last church. If WO vote succeeds, persecution of those loyal to God may now start in earnest within, as well as from outside but God desires to purge us to become pure gold, not to remain as fool’s gold, so that we can be restored to the image of God.

“There is no need to doubt, to be fearful that the work will not succeed. God is at the head of the work, and He will set everything in order. If matters need adjusting at the head of the work, God will attend to that, and work to right every wrong. Let us have faith that God is going to carry the noble ship which bears the people of God safely into port. -Ellen G. White, Selected Messages (Washington, DC: Review and Herald, 1958), 2:39

Praise God for women who will speak up against WO. I have no desire to go against God’s Word. The big quote that seems to be used FOR WO is EGW saying that “men and women should be ordained….” Yes I read it and prayed about it also. What is it they are to be ordained for? Allbelievers are ordained to tell others and care for them like shepherds. This quote has nothing to do with ordination as pastors of assigned church/es.
In my experience, I do act as a guardian and promoter–giving a shepherd’s care of the flock of Bible Workers assigned to my Gospel Outreach Region. I’m invited to speak for divine services in many churches and for camp meetings when abroad, and feel very blessed to have God use me. But I do NOT have the heavy responsibility of pastor for a church or churches.
According to God’s plan in days of old, the male Levites were ordained to do that (only heathen priestesses did that in the Bible). In modern days when non-SDA churches have ordained women, we have seen their congregational result–not good!.
I want to see Jesus come SOON. It appears that the more we deviate from God Word, or try to alter the meaning of scripture to fit a new idea, we will be finding ourselves like the Israelis of old, captured by the enemy!

Thank you. We have a bigger problem: the smell and clothing of Esau and the voice of Jacob. The world will not be fooled but we will fool ourselves. The function of ordination is responsibility. The vestment of authority is the purpose of the ordination service; authority to function in a specific role. To tell people that they are permitted to carry out ALL the functions of an ORDAINED minister and then to stand before the people and say such persons are not ordained, just commissioned, is Satanic doublespeak and why a whole annual council or session can vote to ORDAIN such duplicity as an official distillate of our corporate intelligence is insulting. We must revoke and rescind such talk because God does not do with both hands what He denies with His mouth. That is Satan’s way. How did we become a people without a Yea and Nay as commanded by the Lord Himself. We became drunk with the wine of worldly approbation and recognition and imbibed their language. We did not want to appear uneducated and retrogressive and thus despicable. The result is we have neither character nor relevance. It must change and drastically change at this GC. We must be a people of unequivocal language like the God we represent.

We will have a decision at this GC. Whatever we decide, it will be a Rubicon for Adventism. Are we going to be a distinct and a separate people or are we going to have the Moabite women destroy us with their seduction? Are we going to betray the vision God has of a people that are His or are we going to be adulterers and adulteresses? We stand to gain nothing by this non biblical precedent. We are a first to vest women with ecclesiastical authority in anything Yahweh. This is the Eliezar and Balaam moment. The seductive Moabite women are in the camp, a slew of seductive guerrilla warfare ideas that defile our separateness and make us as corrupt and useless to God as the other nations. Are we going to really cross that line. If we do then the sifting has come… “and some of them of understanding shall fall…”! To your camps O Israel! Each to his house! But the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits; yet they “shall cleave to them with flatteries”. What a solemn day! O for CD Brooks….”The days in which we live ARE SOLEMN” and we do need to be SOBER and CIRCUMSPECT! Whichever way this goes, we are looking into the face of God!

I forgot to say, “ADVENTIST”. In the satanically inflicted pomposity of achievement and attainment men forget their mortality and the holiness of God. What most of us do not get is God is not waiting on the world but on us. It is our sealing that causes God to restrain the winds of strive. Just as soon as the people of God are sealed and it is not a sealing that can be seen with the naked eye but a settling into the truth both intellectually and experientially, He will come for they will then do a work that worldly conformity has stalled and do it expeditiously. It is our drunken stupor from fascination with the world and its toys and allurements that has dimmed our vision and stolen our motivation but this time, someone will wake up and realize old controversies are back and with them persecution and the revelation of the sons of God. May God wake us out of our stupor at this GC, make us see Him and His position clearly and deny the enemy a victory is my prayer. We are thy people and the sheep of thy pasture. Remember thy covenant with our fathers and remember thy truth that it perish not in the world for thou alone art God. We know no other.

…Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of man, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in Him, which is head of all principalities and power.
Christ had foretold that deceivers would arise, through whose influence iniquity” should “abound”, and “the love of many” shall “wax cold” Matthew 24:12. He had warned the disciples that the church would be in more danger from this evil than from the persecution of her enemies. Again and again Paul warned the believers against these false teachers. This peril, above all others, must they guard against; for by receiving false teachers, they would open the door to errors by which the enemy would dim spiritual perceptions and shake the confidence of those newly come to the faith of the gospel. Christ was the standard by which they were to test standards presented. All that was not in harmony with His teachings they were to reject, Christ crucified for sin, Christ risen from the dead, Christ ascended on high-this was the science of salvation that they were to learn and teach.
The warnings of the word of God regarding the perils surrounding the Christian church belongs to us to day. As in the days of the apostles men tried by tradition and philosophy to destroy faith in the Scriptures, so today, by the pleasing sediments of higher criticism, evolution, spiritualism, theosophy, pantheism, the enemy of righteousness is seeking to lead souls in forbidden paths. To many the Bible is a lamp without oil, because they have turned their minds into channels of speculative belief that bring misunderstanding and confusion. The work of higher criticism, in dissecting, conjecturing, reconstructing, is destroying faith in the Bible as a divine revelation. It is robbing God’s word the power to control, uplift, and inspire human lives. By spiritualism, multitudes are taught to believe desire is the highest law, that license is liberty, and that man is only accountable to himself.
The Acts of the Apostles, pages 473,474

Ty Gibson’s speculation and opinions are easily refuted. As are all of the other pathetic attempts to make null and void the authority of the Bible.
Romans 16:1
“I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea: That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.”
The word for servant in Greek is διάκονον – diakonon. This is a word that could mean deacon in English. Or, as the translators of almost every reliable English version of the Bible have translated it, “servant”.
And even when the English word deacon is used, it does not mean
Bishop/Overseer/Elder/Pastor.
ἐπισκοπῆς in 1 Timothy 3:1 does not equate to διάκονον which in English is servant
(but could be translated as deacon).
In any case, while all Deacons are servants of the church, not all servants of the church are Deacons. So which is it? Deacon or Servant ? The large majority of English translators have it right. Servant does not make a contradiction with any other text.
Paul does not in one place infer that women may be bishop/overseer/pastor/elder, because of whatever service to the church Phebe was doing, and in another place explicitly say that to serve the church in that capacity you must me the husband of one wife. There is no reason to adopt the alternate (but possible) reading and use it to make null and void every other clear and consistent passage of scripture.
There is nothing in Romans 16:1 to infer anything more than a endorsement of Phoebe. The people are to receive her as good saints would do, not because she was a | 300 limit
