Appreciation to Laurel Damsteegt, by all means! I would also like to
express my appreciation to all the developers of this site and related
materials. I would like to express my appreciation to Ted Wilson and his
wife Nancy for the wisdom and leadership they are providing during these
challenging and difficult times. I lived through the Ford debacle. I was
at Union College at the time and spent 2 hours after one of our classes
arguing with him about his various positions and inconsistencies. How my
beloved church handled that crisis stands in stark contrast to how she
is handling this one. I know this is of God for He says, “come now let
us reason together”. He respects our intellect, our reasoning powers and
our power of choice. This “go around” the core leadership is taking a
different approach with this crisis and laying this matter before the
people, God’s people and letting them reason this out and figure it out
and make a decision for themselves.
Good to hear from you, Tim!! I remember our times together in Loma Linda, when I was student body president and we endeavored to bring godly speakers to campus, etc.
God is truly guiding the denominational ship of state, and despite horrific pain and the loss of many who will choose ease over faith, God’s church will triumph gloriously.
